The Red Tree

The book 'The Red Tree' is a book about a girl being alone in a lonely world.
When you look at every page you can find a red leaf that represents peace and that there is always a light at the end of a long and dark tunnel.
It connects to real life being that most people give up on their first try but the book tells you not to give up.
The pictures are always sad, lonely and dull until the last page having a giant colourful tree.

King And Country

For the past few days I've been reading a book called "King and Country"
The story starts at 16th August 1914. A Maori village where people are arguing to go or not to help fight with the British. This man called Tipu wants to go to war with his older brother Rongo. His family didn't want Rongo and Tipu to go to war. Unfortunately Tipu was to young to go but Rongo fortunately made it in. Later Tipu lied about his age and he fought along side with his brother Rango.
